The Second Cup Coffee Co. Rewards program was designed to enhance your coffee experience by providing a simple and fast way to earn rewards.

Here are answers to frequently asked questions.

How do I participate in this program?

  1. I want a purely digital experience.
    Download our mobile app at the App Store or Google Play. Follow the flow to register. The best part? You don’t even need a physical card! Just create a digital card on the app and you’re already a member.

  2. I like using a physical card.
    Pick up a card from one of your local cafés and register online at secondcup.com/rewards.

  3. I want the best of both worlds; mobile app and plastic card.
    For this, the order of registration is important.

    1. Pick up a physical card from your local café and register online at secondcup.com/rewards.
    2. Download the mobile app and sign in with your existing account information.
    3. Your mobile app should now reflect the physical card you have on hand (account number).

To make the experience simple, we eliminated the fuss of having to manage multiple cards. You will only have one card to manage at a given time.

Great! So how do I manage multiple cards?

Your first card that you join Rewards with and register is always your primary card associated with your account. Any additional cards can always be added to your account. When you add a card to your account, the new card becomes inactive. Don’t worry, no information is lost. It’s all rolled onto your primary card, so you have one easy, central way to manage your balance.

But I love your new card art! How can I get that?

We’re so glad you’re excited about our new artwork! Just go to any of our cafes and ask for a balance transfer to the new card design.

Registration & sign-up questions

I cannot login to my account!

Please hit "Help! I forgot my password" to generate a temporary password for your account. You will receive a Password Reset email from Second Cup Coffee Co. Login with your email address and temporary password. You will be prompted to set your password again.

I cannot register for an account!

  1. Message: "The member is already enrolled"

    Looks like there’s already an account attached to your email address. Please try signing in instead.
    Don’t have a password? Click on "Help! I forgot my password" and reset your password to continue.

Where can I find my points balance online?

You can view your accumulated point balance at any time by visiting secondcup.com/rewards and logging in to your account. Additionally you may ask our baristas when presenting your Rewards card at a participating location for your balance, or for a Rewards program transaction receipt.

How can I view my transaction history?

Mobile App:

  • Android: Under your digital card
  • iOS: Under your digital card

Web:

  • Sign in to your account. Click on the “View Transaction History” link on the dashboard.

How do I add money to my account?

Web account:
Please click on "Reload Card" from your dashboard. Enter the amount you would like to add to your card. Make your payment through Paypal.

I want to add money using my mobile app.
Please click on "My Cards".
Select "Reload Card".
Select a reload amount.
Enter your credit card information.
Select the "Auto-reload" option if you would like to load your card when it falls below a certain threshold.
Select "Reload"

Why is my card not working?

My digital card works, but my physical card does not.
Have you scanned your card in the mobile app? When you scan a card in the app, it rolls up the balance to your digital card and deactivates your physical card. We designed the process this way to keep all your information in a centralized location so you don’t have to fuss with managing multiple cards.

To pay for your transactions, please use the bar code from your mobile app.

Why does my mobile app have a different number than my physical card?
With the rewards program, we have transitioned to an updated version of cards (with 19 digits & barcodes). If you’re seeing a different number than your physical card, don’t worry! All your information has been transferred in your new, easy to use digital card. You can now throw away your plastic card- it’s been deactivated.

It looks like my card is active on my Mobile phone, but it won’t scan at the café. Why is that?
Tap the card in your mobile app to display the barcode & number. Is the card number 20 digits long? If so, please email rewards@secondcup.com for assistance. Meanwhile, if you want to keep earning points, please use your physical card.
